Jean-François Fourtou

The french visual artist Jean-François Fourtou lives and works in Marrakech where he cultivates an artistic approach nourished by his childhood memories and his attachment to nature. For the past decade, alongside his fantastical, magical and memorial universe, there has been the joyful groups of Nanitos, Minitos and Maxitos, small characters with vegetable heads, sometimes mischievous, playful, and occasionally industrious. Jean-François Fourtou invites, in a playful and poetic manner, to reverie and reconnection with the earth.
